@blindscribe this kind of thing is why I've moved away from "progressive" as a term for myself and as a positive descriptor. Most self-described progressives, as far as I can tell, believe in linear progress and view the current imperialist-capitalist global system as something that can be improved upon and believe, indeed, it has significantly improved since the "bad old days." Their ultimate ideal seems to be a perfected technocratic capitalism, and since capitalism is fundamentally hostile to disabled people's lives and existence, the progressive ideal has no room for disabled people.

after growing up on 'good' bread, either made at home or store bought 'artisan' bread, both yeast and sourdough, now getting used to cheap factory bread really sucks. It doesn't taste like much, barely fills your stomach. I'm also continually amazed at how quickly it grows mold...
