re: bank fees...

as a Stichting we get a yearly discount of 250 euros on those costs, but that covers only a third, so we still pay 500 euros a year for some shitty barely functioning database tracking imaginary money numbers

bank fees...

looked at the details for the hackerspace's bank account costs and it's kinda depressing... ~11 euros a month for the privilege of having a digital record of transactions. which is *ON TOP* of paying 20 euros for those transactions, *ON TOP* of paying 10 euros to even have access to online banking in the first place

FediBlock

Now that Disqordia is going away this is extra relevant since many people there will probably move here. Also note that many will move to worm.pink, cdrom.tokyo, minidisc.tokyo, xenofem.me, koyu, etc

be on high alert y'all

I don’t give a shit how vital you think it is cis people hear this. Cis people have been ignoring what we fucking tell them for years now and boosting traumatic shit around a community full of trans people is not going to help

had a weird dream where i used leftover pizza as topping for another pizza

To expand on this throwaway thought: Most "supply chain" discussions for software, especially open source software, seem to me to circle around enforcing projects that produce things companies build on, to do things in ways that benefit the companies, whether they benefit the projects themselves.

If a company builds on an open source component, provided for free by some party, it feels, to me, backwards to insist that party do additional work for free to make the company's product better.
