I'm pumped that people are talking about and trying #GoToSocial, but I also wanna take this opportunity to remind folks that we're still in alpha (not even beta yet!) so there are still plenty of bugs and missing features, and you should temper your expectations accordingly.
Although we've been moving quickly, we're not *yet* at a point where GoToSocial can be considered a drop-in replacement for much more mature software like Mastodon, which has a bigger budget and years of development time under its belt.
While we continue to work on GtS, you can help us by:
- trying the software and opening issues for bugs that haven't been discovered yet
- making pull requests to our documentation
- advocating for your favorite client apps to implement GtS-specific features
- continuing to be patient and supportive of what we're doing ❤️
