ohh but with my old mousemat over one sheet of cardboard the sidepart isn't too bad
it's also be *awesome* for any (product) photography, great background for that
hmm i do quite like the wiiide mousemat, but it's rather thick too, if i move my arms up/down too much it catches and lifts. also my right monitor is a bit akward now, standing half on the mousemat (and half on some cardboard now to level it..)

seeing a project advertise as "no javascript" is a huge red flag for usability (and accessibility) tbqh, especially the fact that they won't even consider it even when it might be the best tool to make a ui element work.
