@c0c0bird Unfortunately, the approach of "everyone just grows their own food" is an inherently ableist and potentially colonial one - not everyone will be able to do that, and there's the issue of where that patch of land comes from in the first place.
We already have industrial systems by which to produce food at large scale, but they're currently built to fulfill capitalist goals of profit-mongering for their owners over social goals like feeding people who need food. Why not repurpose them?
