This reply might be phrased particularly hilariously but a bunch of the more sober responses I got are actually along very similar lines--that criticizing any aspect of the FOSS community or philosophy in any way automatically means I'm negating all the work they're doing and ceding ground to monopolistic tech corporations. For a group of people who say they're all about freedom, this crowd is disturbingly insistent that their community/leaders never be criticized.

Me, who fled corporate social media in favor of a FOSS alternative, ranting all the time about how shitty tech companies are and spending hours and hours researching and fiddling to install Linux on my desktop, on contact with the FOSS crowd: Free software was a mistake
