consent

i think oppressors/abusers have a habit of using "they verbally consented" or "they chose to" to justify abuse. like when you just look at it from the angle of vocal consent, you are suggesting that the only unethical action involved in a violation of consent is to do something after hearing a firm no. this doesn't account for the (imo more deep rooted and wider spread) issue of purposefully setting up a situation so it's disadvantageous for the person to say no

nazi instance suspension recommendation

social.thisisjoes.site

"Freedom of speech and association are valued here" (federates with all the shit instances ofc)

also runs matrix.thisisjoes.site, heavily involved in the nazi side of matrix

also damn AST's are so cool

(and I just wrote a dead-simple module that works with them: npmjs.com/package/babel-depend)

new bit: person who saw people talking about 'fursonas' and thought they were just talking about pets they have, so now they keep posting pictures of their cat like "check out my fursona"

trans, attraction, rant, 1/?

when trans people go "i am a woman, attraction to me is gay for women" or "please don't rule me out of the dating pool for male attracted people just bc i am not cis" what cis people hear is "in order to acknowledge this persons gender, i must feel attraction to them" and when they don't feel attraction, they go "well i won't acknowledge their gender then". to reiterate an ancient fucking point in the queer community; we don't choose who we feel physical attraction to

I really hope people in general won't just dismiss my project because they see nodejs and go "aAaaAA javascript bad!1!1!!"

because really, it's great!

can't easily extend this to css syntax errors sadly, that needs custom livereloading code that adds the error without refreshing the page

has a very fancy new feature:
Any errors that happen during your development (either in your content, components, or layout) will get displayed not just in your console, but in an overlay over the last succesful page render
