The domestic cat fulfills the long established need in the human psyche for there to be a weird little gremlin nearby that you can look at

i have to prune backups way too often.. if only BuyVM would sell me a 2TB slab instead of the 1TB I have now.. but they're always out of stock

just stopped to get petrol and when we came out of the kiosk some dick parked at a pump in a winnebago started honking the horn at us. we got closer to give them a piece of our mind and it was a fucking dog

heard that someone still listens to a song I recommended them years ago :3

@forever@toot.site the rather basic admin panel will list/export them for admins, but pages like that will come soon (it's one of my tasks), probably together with ToS / CoC and other informative pages github.com/superseriousbusines

requiring authentication for them might be difficult in the current setup (GtS has no concept of user logins/sessions, only oauth sessions), but there could definitely be an option to not serve the public page, and only allow viewing through the user panel (which is a planned webapp similar to the admin panel)

@forever@toot.site nice, I requested a very reduced oauth scope for pure-authentication things like that a while ago but it didn't go anywhere... github.com/mastodon/mastodon/i

i think/hope gts will beat them to it, probably when we revisit the oauth library in use soon(tm)

@forever@toot.site i do but it's just a mostly unused test instance at gts-dev.pixie.town (just deployed my work-in-progress branch that redesigns the frontpage). I'm also the main person doing frontend for gts :)

so nice that I can just change the git commit my NixOS package builds from, to test my changes in production

@AgathaSorceress@eldritch.cafe select it, then use Select > Feather to feather it out?

Machine learning sounds like something you get a shot for at walgreens

@juliana@eldritch.cafe i was thinking about this the other day!

it also feels like blaming issues on just "the late stage" of capitalism, leaving room for an earlier stage of capitalism that isn't so bad, somehow?
