@ljwrites afaik gotosocial doesn't do opt-in just yet. currently your server just doesn't know who to federate with yet, try looking up your other account and following for a start?
@johannes@tech.lgbt I think that misconception is in part due to those bad influences, but IPFS (or it's conceptual model) can still be useful to integrate with software
@johannes@tech.lgbt even with that I think the even bigger issue is marketing IPFS as a storage system (especially with filecoin) while it's a delivery platform. It's granular bittorrent, and we know how many old torrents just die
