the </div> is there very much on purpose :D in the old site it was a site gen mess-up (now with Shayu that's basically impossible), but I liked keeping it in
<footer> would be good yes, but I suppose <main> doesn't make much sense here since it's *just* the nav, and no actual main content?
also did I spend way too long on getting that CSS animation just right? probably!
i checked accessibility stuffs with the few tools that work here (ie no screen reader) so could definitely use more input on that :)
