meta meta

I wonder how many people filter 'meta'

about deletion and GDPR, i guess meta

also the "you can't delete user's data because GDPR" seems really sketch? like how on earth could I be forced to store everything from my users indefinitely?

but the legalese is unparsable for me so

@goat@hellsite.site right yeah that's what I thought, i hope this clarification gets boosted enough, because i've seen people talk about buying old domains to prevent leaking DMs, which would not really be possible either way. (The impersonation vector is still an issue though)

@grufwub@notbird.site @FediReminder@notbird.site remind me: 420 years

@souvlaki Little miss hooves and horns has been dabbling in necromancy and has brought back bofa.lol

@goat@hellsite.site also how the fuck does mastodon not use keys to prevent domain takeovers from continuing history wtf

@grufwub@notbird.site @FediReminder@notbird.site reminder!

tangent

@thisdudemorgan i would check to make sure this isn't one of those scams where companies (usually startups) will have "job applicants" complete tasks for free and then ghost them and use the work. i hope they're paying you for this??

tangent

@haskal @thisdudemorgan yep, also definitely agreed on this, asshole companies tend to do this a lot

@thisdudemorgan also that most tutorials are bleh, and try keep your build stack as minimal as possible with just browserify (bundler) with babelify for ES6/JSX

.js and on freenode are quite good (joepie91 who wrote that gist also regularly helps people out there)
which are also accessible thru matrix, either matrix.org bridge or via mine at #node.js:pixie.town etc
