@rune good one, it definitely fits into the user section of the settings interface

@pastelpunkbandit maybe it could just be fedi posts with a certain hashtag/@ a bot, and then you have a simple overview client that aggregates it as a reading list

@pastelpunkbandit yeah currently we just have ways to set/remove blocks, but we'll get there

@pastelpunkbandit yep, same here. it's in the "waiting for API implementation" list :)

it's such an incredible improvement to have 4-hourly remote backups of my desktop and laptop

it also means I can access that system's files while they're offline, by simply mounting the latest borg backup

@rune everyone has their personal preferences for what they like to write, yeah

@carbontwelve mhh, it's kinda soured by people taking stuff like that to somehow argue the current-day language is bad/stupid... my favorite has to be NaN != NaN, which is brought up as a flaw even though it's according to IEEE-754 spec :")

@pastelpunkbandit @kim that's what electron runs into when poorly packaged yeah, but afaik you can share the runtime as an external dependency. QT/GTK also provide a webkit type thing in similar ways

you don't hate javascript, you hate badly written software :dont_at_me:

unpopular opinion

i actually hate the web 1.0 style. just looks ugly to me. you can make expressive and personal sites that look *better*

i wonder if there are people who listen to podcasts on speakers... that'd just feel so wrong to me
