it's one of the reasons i find sort of ummm... the Way we treat microlabels and stuff, unhealthy? im Definitely not saying they shouldn't be used, and i don't get to say how other ppl use them, or that the way theyre using them is harmful. BUT. i think a lot of people spend a lot of time trying to figure out whether theyre a girl or a boy or agender or pansexual or whatever by sitting in a dark room and combing through their brain trying to find the emotions or experiences or individual brain cells or whatever that Make them that thing. and for some people that works and that's great. but for a lot of us, we just sat their anxiously for years, denying ourselves experiences that would have Definitively helped us understand how we wanted to identify and who we wanted to be. we think that in order to try the thing, we need the permission that a label gives. but actually, finding a label becomes much easier once you've properly tried it
