offsite subtooting, muh wokeness

"im as prog and woke as any other lefty, but i also realize that we cant function in isolation." riight

"we cant sit silently and wokescold and subject every leftist figurehead to insane purity tests."

revolutionary idea here, what if we didn't do figureheads at all :O

@erikk@chaos.social static site generator; they're great bikeshedding, yakshaving NIH programming projects and there's already a billion in existance, but of course mine is special.
shayu.it can already do some kinda special cool things wrt React and double rendering, but I'm now generalizing it's architecture even more so I can easily add custom functionality like "this site subfolder is managed by this custom code" and then that custom code can for example generate separate gallery pages for all the pictures in it

hm shit fact: your mastodon profile's search index setting is kinda irrelevant, because if someone who opted in (or bad instance default) boosts your toots they become search engine searchable anyways

i bit off sooo much more than i can chew for the ssg reimplementation, ugh

have to walk through the rather lengthy but suuper boring and handholding "how to find information online" quizzes, AGAIN (i had to do these 2 years ago too (but it's less work to do again then than bother with an exception))

@aphyr @mysteriarch as someone who switched from atom to vscode, it's a nicer experience in every way, plus the git integration in vscode is amaaazing :3

(and if microsoft is an issue, atom is from github which is from microsoft too now, so)

@mysteriarch well, having tried out a lot of (foss) editors I can only say 'code' has by far been the best experience, and not much of a microsoft issue running any of the re-packaging forks like vscodium etc
