2020 is very cool, those are sooo tiny. But with FR4 the support beams for those would be too thin to be durable I think

Hmm you could mount the whole panels on transparent acrylic though, so it gets a lot more support

@vivianrose I think you could do panels that are like 3 strips, with slots in between rows, while keeping the connection on the side.
And then solder a few of those panels together

@vivianrose so unfortunately it seems the 2020 small variants are sold out currently, but normal sizes are. I did it for two previous projects now and works really well with JLC, although it's a bit more process than just pcbs https://cthu.lu/projects/JLC-2020-12-21/#lipo-v2

@vivianrose hmm, would you even need flex in there though, normal FR4 could even be pre-assembled with the leds through JLCpcb rather affordable
