@pastelpunkbandit@hellsite.site if mastodon had an option for followers-only posts to only go to *specific* groups of followers (google+ circles yada yada) i could open follows

but then again i dont get that much follow reqs anyways either

always weird to realize how my posts have like 0 reach unless boosted by people that have actual follower counts

For managing site content, do you prefer to fully separate
pages/
assets/
or rather, have assets belonging to a page stored with it in the pages/ subtree (and common assets still separate?)

replies welcome too :) :boost_ok: :boost_requested:

restraining myself from making an uhm actually tech comment because even as a joke it wouldn't be funny

"hm maybe i should go outside"

*dark out*

ah yeah nvm fuck that

@oxytocin using git urls for decentralized repos has a fair few downsides as well though, although not sure i have anything on hand to link to

@oxytocin ah there you go
"(if you're familiar with modern packages managers like cargo or npm, then the overall mechanism shouldn't surprise you - Nix works in a similar way, although without a centralized repository.)"

@oxytocin i have tried Nix but not Flakes yet, the dependency model is similar though, isn't it?

ok time to block and move on i don't have enough mental gymnastics spoons for this lmao

@djmoch nope, never insinuated that, just the ratio of misinfo/actual criticism is somehow even worse than that for anarchists lmao

“You laugh, but these javascript kids have got a creative end-run around the problem of dependency management that works much better than *yours* does, doesn't it?”
