@goat@hellsite.site @x41 yeah, Shouldn't Be That Hard Right (tm)

@goat@hellsite.site @x41 also I need to :thounking: if the Matrix protocol would work for this, because ActivityPub just kinda sucks imo

@goat@hellsite.site @x41 opt in (transitive) federation though, i feel that could really work well

asimov: i made three rules and now here's an entire book of reasons they don't work because life is nuanced and complicated and and has to be handled with a flexible, compassionate approach

every white tech guy: haha cool ethos

overthinking is what i do, might as well do media analysis with it :')

i'm retiring an older collaborative project that never quite got off the ground... BUT in doing so we're releasing the tiles we drew for it into the creative commons. 281 free, hand-drawn isometric tiles, to use in your projects:

@flop@eldritch.cafe ah, but would be github.com/tc39/proposal-pipel then right, the github you linked is for proposal-temporal?

Why I didn't hear the pterodactyl in the toilet stall next to mine? because the pee is silent. haha. fuck this. I hate myself. why did i do this

on mornings i dont work, i really love being up during sunrise and chilling in low lighting like this

@flop@eldritch.cafe I think you added the wrong link?
developer.mozilla.org/en-US/do

wonder if this could work similarly with Promises too, as syntactic sugar for then() chaining

@Thib@sitedethib.com @goat@hellsite.site I wonder if something based on propagation of trust could work
in that you accept federation with instance x you transitively accept their federation list too (or specifically choose not to?)

as for new instances, i think it would make sense for them to the 'trust' of an existing account on an already trusted instance, ie branching out from the existing community instead of joining from the outside

dunno if that makes sense or if it would work, and i certainly don't have the time/spoons to take up yet another project but i think it's interesting to brainstorm
