@vivianrose ah I see, for the extra thin you'll want ws2812 or sk6812, aliexpress should have some but they're a lot harder to find than the thicker width ones
crossed off my most stressful/urgent TODO item :D time for more games
@vivianrose @syntacticsugarglider from experience the various aliexpress strips are okay quality.
However, SK9822 / APA102 are similar strips but with a few important improvements; they have a separate clock line so they run better over longer distances, and their PWM is faster, so they appear to flicker less (especially when you move your head while looking at them), which to sensitive people can be quite distracting
those are a bit more expensive than ws2812 however, but imo worth it

@floi i've tried both in the past, and I run write.pixie.town which is writefreely.
but personally I do just run my own static site gen, and don't even blog as much as I want
also need to figure out a better way to frame/scale things, just a 1080p vscode window isn't too readable
