DIY Assistive Audio Tech Update
Today I made version 0.3 of my hearing device using one of the examples in the Tympan library (https://github.com/Tympan/Tympan_Library/tree/master/examples/05-FullSystems/WDRC_3BandIIR_wAFC). I'm still getting a lot of artifacts, but I think I'm learning how to use and understand audio charts.
Aesthetically, I'm beginning to suspect I'll want to build my prototype into epaulets.
@f0x Oh cooool, thank you so much for the offer! Once I get a better idea of what I'd like, I just might hit you up for that. The current shape/size is a little ungainly.
And yeah, they're expensive. They said some boards had been 'validated'. I'm not sure if that's an expensive legal process for medical equipment, but maybe that's part of it? I'm also assuming some of the board price goes into funding the library project/development. For my prototype, I'm OK with paying that much, but it's too expensive for me to really consider 'accessible' in something I'd recommend to friends.
