If you can help me get a lever drive, a type of power assist for a wheelchair, I will be eternally grateful. One of the single most important emotional concepts I have ever heard expressed is one I got years ago from one of my best friends, and it's guided a lot of how I behave since. Put simply, it's this: "the failure mode of 'clever' is 'asshole'."

It has been proven repeatedly that platforms prioritizing growth over safety are toxic to everyone else who doesn't present as white, straight, and a man.

No, I'm not going to debate it anymore. No, I don't care if people think I'm wrong to center safety in my dev efforts because I can live with it going sideways if that happens.

But in my experience as a dev and a citizen of the web for more than two decades, the missing link to rehumanizing social media spaces is safety for the most marginalized people that have historically been ignored.

And I'm going to create around that ethos.

An NPC told them about a Cleric that had the ability to protect against this. They were instructed to travel to the end of the river that runs through the town, the point where it lets out into the sea.

Once there, they had to solve a puzzle involving the water flow (1/x)

"You want me to do how many things? In *this* action economy?!"
