Yaaaaay, resin printer's working. Some mild deformities happened with my torture test so I think I'm gonna have to extend the platform lift times, but the calibration rook came out perfect

My filters for ffxiv content only ever seem to work retroactively, they haven't been stopping new posts until I reset them. how frustrating .w.

caps, burn mention

Random note: siraya tenacious gets REALLY FUCKING HOT when curing holy shit

I nearly burned myself on the excess through the silicone beaker it pooled in when cleaning up. And it was in the curing box for like 30s

And the less said about that disaster of a kirby stamp back then, probably the better.

it just occurred to me this is the first time I made a stamp since, uh... 2nd grade?

Wait, shit, I just noticed some of the features didn't print at all--I suspect the normals on the model were bugged after converting, so I'll have to recalculate them and print it again aaaa

Got my shit together enough to test my siraya tenacious resin out. It's very UV-sensitive so it hardens quickly, but it still has a bit of flexibility and tackiness so it works okay for making stamps in a 3D printer. Maybe setting up a stamping rig and conventional stamping resins would still be worth looking into...

Good news: the claim on the fraudulent moth plush has resolved expeditiously in my favour.

Bad news: it still means I don't get a moth :(

Good news: I have the money back to get a poodle moth backordered through my mom, so I can look forward to a morb randomly appearing in one of my care packages

@elfi Everyone Said I Should Open a Bakery But How Will I Sell All These Apricot Arduinos and Raspberry Pi's!?!

hey, if you're in the Seattle area, and there's snow coming down right now? and you have anywhere to go tomorrow morning? please be SUPER SUPER CAREFUL. up here at the northern edge of Shoreline we're getting some slushy accumulation *on the roads* with water underneath. if this goes on for a couple hours (like it's supposed to) and then it clears up and *freezes* around midnight (like it's supposed to) it's going to be REALLY REALLY SLICK AND DANGEROUS early tomorrow morning. regardless of how you travel, if you have to travel tomorrow morning, *please* be careful!
