Hey pals remember when I mentioned Jail Support being overwhelmed?
Atl Jail Support is exhausted (I can speak for that as a member).

We are trying to hire an intern who will work for $15hr 20hrs a week to have someone who can coordinate efforts, help all of us out, and shoulder some of the responsibilities that we've all been taking on. Extra money will go to extending the internship and/or into the bail fund.

I really need to remember to have a drink before I do any precision work like fixing my joycons. My hands are just too fucking shaky

depression, aftereffects

uuuugh don't you hate it when you get through the worst and most emotionally rough parts of a depressive episode and want to do stuff again, but you're still exhausted from that depressive episode

tfw you realize you haven't taken your meds

but you don't really feel like doing so

but you recognize that's why you're feeling so bad

but you don't have the energy to solve it

y'all I am seeing more people on the fediverse misgendering those they don't like

how many times must we go over the fact that basic human dignity shouldn't be taken away under any circumstance?

aaaa I want a 3D printer so I can start painting cute little kobolds

good morning. i spent all of 30 minutes awake before slapping together a dumb meme, so you can be assured I will not be spending my time productively today

You might be an Internet Ancient if you:

• remember Netscape Navigator

• ever used any modem with a bandwidth of 28,8 or lower

• had an Early Adopter account on Livejournal

• witnessed the rise and fall of PhPBB

• witnessed the rise and fall of Napster

• used the web before Google existed

• ever used a dialup BBS site

• remember Gopher

• ever downloaded music as .mod files

• remember when about 90% of the web was made up of personal sites which were "under construction" and had pictures of people's cats on them

• remember when Yahoo was literally just a big list of websites

• know IRC commands

• have heard anyone unironically use the phrase "information superhighway"

• can recognise different bandwidth modems by what bleepy handshake sound they make

• have ever received one of those chain e-mails where you have to scroll through about a kilometre of forwarded headers only to find a "hilarious" vaguely lewd image and/or a banal list like this one

It's funny seeing people extol the virtues of decentralisation and stuff because like, that's what the internet used to be?

You've seen Hackers, right? The 1995 movie? At the time, most of the internet was dialup BBS sites. But then, the world wide web happened, and big centralised providers like CompuServe and AOL started taking control.

Discussing the perils of centralised internet services? Basically, y'all are talking about the original spirit of the internet, and I kinda love it.

Massive anxiety out of nowhere, discomfort at the idea of close contact... ugghhhhh

I think I'm getting overwhelmed and need to dial it back a bit
