folks in the US, please be aware of the seedy flip side of seasonal retail trends.

retailers are rushing to cycle out old stock. unfortunately in most locations, these items are deposited behind the store in unlocked waste containers. household items, electronics, clothing and food are carelessly left out in the cold.

in towns, smaller cities and suburbs especially, there isn't much of an effort made toward security for these waste containers. no one's tracking their contents and really, anybody could come and take that stuff. for free.

what a shame it would be if that happened.

Now other nations are looking into the extraordinary pressure and whether it might not be prudent to let a USA-aligned corp handle citizens' most private data (medical, tax, residence, assets, etc).

we must have made them very nervous, since lawmakers in Germany and UK are questioning the contracts. It is possible that authorities are hesitating to sign new contracts. So we have triggered something that they are starting this PR campaign against us (I don't remember another media company being mentioned on their blog).
