I was a firstname lastname twitter account. I had a blue check. I followed coworkers and other professional colleagues. I posted about goings on in my industry, news and my own meager professional accomplishments. Stuff I thought might help my career.

It was exhausting. Hours upon hours of unpaid work for almost no payoff.

That was the main reason I came to fedi. That person I was pretending to be on Twitter was draining all life from me. I'm never going back to that, at least not willingly.
