I think I’m having a bit of a revelation here. I’m traveling to somewhere I lived for a while 20 years ago, when I was in college.

It’s completely different. Nothing stayed the same.

Suddenly, it seems foolish to still be haunted from memories and mistakes I made back then.

The world has the same roads and structure, but everything else is different. It doesn’t remember those things, so why should I let them hurt today?

I regret to report that the secret to making friends in your 30s is to go out and do things and then ask the people there if they would like to go out again and do more things

Last night saw the end of the 13th Age campaign I was in, which led to us causing a time paradox by unwittingly intercepting the entire impetus of our campaign, unravelling reality like a cheap holiday sweater, and then resetting the timeline into an ideal version now that the threat no longer existed.

What a fun ride that was. Now we're gonna be playing something fun in dream worlds for the next game

I'm still thinking about the huge geomagnetic storm and how the northern lights managed to glow through the cloud cover at my place... in order to do that, it had to overpower the light pollution of the city *after* scattering through the clouds...

That would've been incredible to see on a clear sky, without question

Happy Caturday,

Did you know that "table cat" from the famous meme is a Canadian? He lives in Ottawa and his name is Smudge. Very cute, but he's not a fan of salad.

I run the #Jortage project on my own, providing media storage for 92 instances, and am in the middle of an expensive move after a major life event and have very little current income.

Every month, due to the nature of social media storage, the project gets more expensive. Our CDN fees are graciously covered by #Fastly for free via #FastForward, but storage is our largest expense by far.

We're currently $58 in the hole — please pitch in if you can! subscriptions.helcim.com/subsc

I am in a high rise apartment in the middle of downtown and I can hear a singular cricket just going ham

When I say these peppers contravene the Geneva convention I mean it. They’re stronger than what they put in pepper spray. You will die. Anyway we’re going to have a festival where we see how many we can eat

There’s only two kinds of white people, ones who think ketchup is spicy and ones who breed peppers that you can only handle in a level 3 hazmat suit

The year is 2104. Home ownership is now completely impossible for individuals. In order for people to have a place to live, they must join one of seven global polycules. The sun rises on the house of the Meji polycule, as the high-ranking polyclytes sharpen their spears. It is time for war.

After the two #Eggbug pictures I did, I considered drawing Super Eggbug again, but ended up never getting around to it until the last day that #Cohost was open for posting. Once I had the energy that evening (having had to recreate a post I accidentally deleted that morning because I was tired), I did a speed drawing of Super Eggbug, now serving as the spirit guardian of the Eggbug on their future journeys. I put it up on my website later that evening: thegreenherring.neocities.org/

For what it's worth, Cohost left a positive impression on my life that will never fade. May it never be forgotten.
