Goal Reached! (Housing mutual aid request)
Edit 2: thank you so much everyone! I ended up with enough and a little over. I should be good this month and now have the time to figure things out for the future. <3
Original message as follows:
Hi everyone, I've been trying to find a housemate for my apartment but I've had no luck. Without someone to share the costs of the apartment with, I'm out of money and won't have enough to make rent and bills in a week even after my ODSP payment comes in. My estimated needs are $250 CAD.
I'm going to list some goods on Kijiji, but I've had little to no luck selling on there lately so I don't know if it'll actually succeed, and I don't want to put this out when it's too little, too late. If something does sell, I'll mark it in the progress, but if you can spare some funds, I'd really appreciate the help, and will do my best to pay it forward once I can.
My paypal is (redacted), thank you very much
Current progress: $250/250
Edit 1: aaaa this much support already is very appreciated ;; I hope I can help other people be happy in the future as you're making me rn
Last November, NASA's Voyager 1 sent home garbled data, and engineers traced the problem to the flight data subsystem (FDS). The problem turned out to be a single chip in the FDS memory. They couldn't repair the chip but could move the affected code into sections and store them in different parts of the FDS system. They tested the new system this week, sending signals to the Voyager 1, 22.5 light-hours away. It worked, and Voyager 1 is back.
Uh. I'm pretty sure this just killed every single indie/AA owned by Embracer: https://embracer.com/releases/embracer-group-announces-its-intention-to-transform-into-three-standalone-publicly-listed-entities-at-nasdaq-stockholm/
Indie doesn't scale. You can't katamari up a bunch of tiny studios and then say "alright break into 100 teams and each make small games!", it breaks down. But that's essentially what they did #GameDev
Heat pumps work when it’s cold.
They just work harder.
Heat pumps remain more than twice as efficient as gas boilers, even at temperatures well below freezing.

Short PSA:
WD-40 is not a lubricant. It is a brand of penetrating oil, also known as penetrating fluid. If you have metal parts that are rusted solid, WD-40 might help you get them to move so you can take them apart, but it evaporates quickly and leaves no lubrication behind.
So if you want to *oil* something, you need a lubricating oil. Which one depends, but which one is never WD-40.

My car need urgent repairs and I don't have enough money, so if you can get something from my shop or ko-fi that'd be really helpful!! Boosts are very welcome too, thanks
