When my eldest was in kindergarten, they came home one day with an assignment to count something in their house.

Anyone who followed me for a good portion of the year can surmise that I will not be sorry to see the year go, just the people that it took with it.
That said, I did get to meet some friends IRL I would've never had the chance to otherwise, which helped a lot in my time of need, and I found myself closer to my father's side of the family as the year went on as well.
I can only hope with the amount of help I've had healing, I can move forward with my mother's love in my heart and complete everything I wanted to in 2024, without any other tragedy.

Random fun film fact: The crow in It’s a Wonderful Life seen in the Building & Loan that Uncle Billy kept as a pet is the same crow that flew on Scarecrow’s arm in The Wizard of Oz whom he was unable to scare.
