If rail workers do end up engaging in a wildcat or otherwise illegal strike, PLEASE remember that strikes are meant to be disruptive. If you see someone talking about the rail strike and how it's having such a huge impact, say things like "Yeah, it's crazy how much of our economy relies on them. That's why they deserve good health care."
Don't give in to anti-labour rhetoric. Combat false narratives. Solidarity Forever.

weird factoid: my cheap condenser microphone came with an XLR to 3.5mm aux cable. You know, the kind of microphone you need a phantom power converter for. Which never comes with a 3.5mm output.
Now that I have a dynamic microphone with an XLR jack, I can use that cable for something again

Dont be afraid to reach out to your favorite local bands and independent musicians to ask if you can use their music for your project, even if it means paying a reasonable fee for it. You'd be surprised who is willing to help you.
You might even luck out and find someone willing to let you use their music for free!
