Today's dinner was something of a disaster but a recoverable one.
so I thought my potatoes had gone bad early and I wouldn't be able to make my usual pork curry! No, just some of them, I was able to salvage more of them.
Problem was, I discovered after cutting into my last onion that it had DEFINITELY gone capital-B Bad.
Problem was I had already trimmed and sliced the pork by that point, so I decided to just... render the fat in my instant pot instead and make the last of my macaroni and cheese. Decided at the same time to the meaty tips from cutting up the fat into a pan with some oil, water, and salt to cook that into bacon bits and add that to my dinner to make it a little more substantial. wheee
Not looking forward to taking the compost out though...

The medical examiner who said the murderous cop didn't do a murder has been found to be SO wrong that the state of Maryland is going to review all in-custody death reports that happened while he worked for them. This includes Freddie Gray and other Black men who died struggling with police.
This is one way we start to deal with systemic issues. Once people tell you who they are, go back and check shit out!

Ok, so cops have this tool called Cellbrite they use to automate collecting data off of cell phones that they physically posses and are unlocked.
Turns out, Cellbrite has shite security, which means that you can drop an otherwise-inert file somewhere in your phone's system that, if scanned, will inject itself and allow arbitrary code execution on their Cellbrite device. I.E, you can make their hardware do literally anything you want, including compromising any data the device collects.
And in what they describe as unrelated news, Signal will start occasionally and randomly stashing some inert files in installations on established accounts.

So I realized that right-wing groups have created PeerTube instances or are using unmoderated ones to spread their hate speech.
