With a bit of extra effort, I was able to get dynamic music track switching working in Tactus! Here's a demo of that showing the normal, cave, and pause variants.

I can't actually crossfade on this platform, so the music waits for the next phrase boundary before making the switch, but it's otherwise mostly seamless.

Also you can pause now! For such a "simple" feature, lots of stuff went wrong trying to get it to work properly.

Now I just need to extend this song...

Lionizing Terry Pratchett's work as universally progressive and incisive denies the early stuff where he happily used racist tropes for a cheap laugh, and the *climb* he made from there to where he ended up.

This is important because it's not just any given book saying "We can do better"; it's the author, doing better, as you go.

Most of the time when someone asks "What's to stop a player from just..." about an RPG, all I can think is, "What's to stop the first chair flautist from busting out Flight of the Bumblebee in the middle of Beethoven's 5th?" #ttrpg
