Hi pachyderms. I badly need transit fare. I have a drs appt this week that I've waited for 4 months to get, but I don't have enough for even the daily commute I make to get my kid to and from school, much less drs appts. It should be law that if you use a dataset with assets and material you didn't ask consent for in a generative AI, you should have to pay every single person whose content is in that dataset even if there's no proof you took anything, because there's no way to prove you didn't either.
Yes, that'd be impossible to pay. They'd have to go bankrupt. They'd have to shut down everything.
