Mastodon strikes me as more of an indie space than a place where people hire or get hired, but just for the record: Daedalic has now officially stopped internal game development. That means pretty much everyone who worked on Gollum was laid off.
In other words, if you need a designer, a programmer or an artist who already is skilled at working remotely, now is good opportunity to hire some really nice people.

Oh great, I found my first white LGBTQ+ person on this site who thinks BIPOC folks should set aside racism (from us white queers) in the fight against fascism. And when told she would have to stop being racist before we can have coalition with BIPOC people, she said 'I guess no coalition then'. 💀
REALLY saying the quiet part out loud there. As if fascism isn't upheld by white supremacy and racism.

DARVO is an acronym for Deny, Attack, Reverse Victim and Offender. It's a strategy that abusers use to avoid being held accountable and deflect negative attention onto the person attempting to hold them accountable. Wikipedia breaks it down nicely:
1. The abuser denies the abuse ever took place.
2. When confronted with evidence, the abuser then attacks the person that was abused (and/or the person's family and/or friends) for attempting to hold the abuser accountable for their actions, and finally,
3. The abuser claims that they are actually the victim in the situation, thus reversing the positions of victim and offender. It often involves not just playing the victim but also victim blaming.
1. The abuser denies the abuse ever took place
a. "It's unfortunate mastodon.art decided to defederate on lies"
2. When confronted with evidence, the abuser then attacks the person that was abused
a. "M.art has a beef witih Eugen, the creator of mastodon and that beef extends to everyone who doesn't join the m.art "clique""
b. "Their style of moderation is control"
c. "People on .art have 0 agency and it creates an environment of fear"
d. Entire post
3. The abuser claims that they are actually the victim in the situation
a. "They turned my enthusiasm against me. They turned me talking about providing agency to users against me. Worst of all, they didn't reach out to me at all."
b. "We have never received a moderation report from .art or any of their affiliated sites (rage. Love) that wasn't a report of them personally attacking something i said to troll me"
c. "I've been minding my own business. It was .art that made a blog and broke the connections of consenting folks for no reasons other than personal attacks against me based on heresy"
d. "i responded to a blog that inspired people to cause violence"
& there's so much more. All the while .art's admin has only posted to counter his claims, and posted an AMA about their silenced/defederated domains for anyone concerned due to what Byron was saying.
DARVO is dangerous, so I hope this helps someone identify it in their own life. Stay safe out there.
