@Decimal @Hearth I guess with a basic alternating RLE with null termination, you could reduce it to a handful of bytes, but I'd still estimate each frame would take anywhere from 50 to 500 depending on complexity so you'd be right back to square one

Adding in memory moving operations could possibly allow for more optimized animations but the complexity of storage would definitely rise as well

@Decimal @Hearth indeed, and by the looks of the UI I'd venture a guess that the microcontroller only has 4KB of memory altogether so you'd have a rather small space to work with for making that animation

I keep seeing people turn off security options in their BIOS so Microsoft stops nagging you to upgrade to Windows 11, which - absolutely incredible perverse incentives there. I’m sure Microsoft didn’t *mean* to make a bunch of computers less secure, but that’s what they did!

@illusionofmana Instantiating nodes from code with arguments can be a bit clumsy (or I'm just missing something important) and while it's fixed in 4, 3 had a rather weak 2D tilemap implementation

Emergency funds needed to help a trans black system survive; boosts please

My father called the first monday of this month. He said that he will need the money I own* him anytime this month. It is a little short of 4k USD (and then there are the bills too).

I've almost caught up to the bills, paid everything from last month but I am still missing some for this month.

This week has been really, really hard. Aside from bring bedridden through last weekend this week I barely slept and barely ate because of so much anxiety. The days were I had one full meal were the days I've took as being successful. I was able to go to half of my classes tho.

Work came to a halt but I'll be trying to at least work a little this weekend. When I'm able to work I make ~10USD/day and that is not even close to enough. I'm completely unable to hold a traditional job (without working myself to literal exhaustion as it happened already) so I really have no other options than work from home with what I can when I can.

I'm begging, please, if you're seeing this give it a boost. Maybe if you see this again, unboost and boost again. And of if you can afford helping out I'd be really thankful.
