@Tealfuleyes FF14 sure changed a lot from when I was playing, it sounds like

Ofcom is undertaking a paid survey for people who work for companies in scope of the UK #OnlineSafetyAct. If any of y'all are running Mastodon/Akkoma/Pixelfed/etc servers and have some kind of legal entity for doing so, drop me a line and I'll make an introduction.

I'm gonna ask if that's *just* companies or if any community forum counts.

Just heard back from the #OnlineSafetyAct survey folks: they'd also like to hear from people who run informal/volunteer community sites. Anyone who runs a Mastodon instance, Pixelfed server, PHPBB forum, etc. and has any UK users.

If you'd like me to put you in touch with the survey group, feel free to DM me, or email aphyr@aphyr.com, with your name, email, and the site you run. I'll pass that on to Serrula Research, which is running the survey for Ofcom.

My cat almost did a somersault by accident the other day because she got so excited for pets.
Here is my interpretation:

This is everyone's friendly reminder that the CBC has a Lite version! It's designed for people in low-bandwidth areas, which has the delightful side effect of it not having ads (or pre-load ad auctions), trackers, or whatever new design choice the designers think will get clicks. It's very nice to just have text and a wee bit of CSS.

Anyone got experience of screen readers on fedi? I can't really see since to eye surgery I want to keep up with you all and have some mental stimulation.

Edit: Eye surgery went okay. Thank you to the people who commented and shared.

i don't want smaller keyboards. get outta here with that 80% nonsense. give me 100%. give me 120%. give me the hidden function keys windows doesn't want you to know about. if i don't feel like i'm in a nuclear reactor control room there aren't enough keys

dlss nonsense

@alice Oh, you can tell with DLSS5 in particular that there's no way normal people will run this load. This is to make use of all those idling Geforce Now clusters they've got in a desperate bid to ride out the AI bubble bursting.

I wish Nvidia a very explode with the rest of the bubble and I hope they do it while everyone's still mocking them, from players to other game developers

So after 16 months of illness I'm back on my feet and applying to jobs, but I'm completely broke and the combination of car+power+storage for 6 people is due, with a lot of late fees added in.
I'm sorry to ask, but any amount would help. Thanks so much!

Wren fully fuzzed in her sleep. It's hard to tell in this picture, but she had a highly defined back ridge, all the more noticeable because she was otherwise fast asleep.

Joh cuddled her awake and she was *delighted*. I don't think she'd been having pleasant dreams!
