Hey internet, I'm looking for a (paid) music tutor.

I've been trying to learn to compose music and never been happy with what I've come up with. Self-taught is not working out and I'm getting discouraging results (and discouragement leads to less self-motivated practice).

I think I need someone to direct me, give me practice homework, and give advice. So I'm going to just toss this message out in case any musicians might be interested, or if anyone's got suggestions for people to ask.

When you earn a PhD in Finland, they award you a Doctoral Sword. I really picked the wrong country to study in.

According to Tim Sweeney, the original ZZT source code was lost in the early 90s: "[... If] I had it, I'd release it, but I lost it in a crash a long time ago."

But they were all of them deceived, for another backup was made.

This is an (almost) unaltered copy of the actual ZZT ~3.0 source code - not decompiled, not reverse-engineered, but preserved for its historical value.

You wouldn't believe me if I told you how many years I spent looking for it, after catching wind of where it might be... For three decades, the ZZT community hoped it would turn up. For two, it thought it was impossible. And yet, here we are.

I'm really happy to have been able to contribute to the ZZT community's preservation efforts for all these years. Thank you. This is probably my magnum opus.

This is a very early 90s logo for the web. "Let's share what we know" might seem naive and idealistic nowadays but I still subscribe to that view of what the web should be — people sharing their knowledge and passions on personal websites, for the love of sharing.
