Whoever got mad about people using the term ‘mutual aid’ because they think ‘mutual’ means it needs to be an exact 1-1 transaction missed the point entirely. It doesn’t even need to be about semantics, the point of mutual aid is building up a community in which people can ask for help, and if you don’t need help right now, great! But if/when you do, you have this community you can go to for help. That’s where the ‘mutual’ part comes in

I'm still halfway through being able to have my monthly bills covered tho. I can pay the next bills.
