it genuinely irritates me how prevalent the light/dark binary is. light's always seen as good, inviting, safe, etc. light is how we see & operate & live. hell, so much effort has gone into making the day as permanent as we want it to be.
but like. light overpowers so much. the night has so much to offer, it's so beautiful and it's just. ignored and abused. there's so many colors that only exist in low light. so many things you can't see or feel except at night. it's like the whole world's different.
