I wish we'd stop using the term "derivations" in #NixOS and start using "build tasks" or something similarly obvious, it's such a source of confusion

@joepie91 mm i think that's just a symptom of a larger problem & admittely i have a [very?] nix-shaped brain but derivation feels like a more cohesive term than "build task". its the thing u derive da output from . or its the plan for the derivation of the output. or its the output & that's just clumsy, then it's a closure and that's just not obvious at all
