What would you consider the primary issues with the ActivityPub protocol? (If you like, ActivityPub as shaped by Mastodon dominance)
If you could do it all over again with a new protocol for social media, what would you do?

@mossfet I think the protocol having some kind of system for optional semantic sub-specs of AP for common use-cases would enable powerful custom spam filter rules in clients.
Idk... is this already a thing? Formally or informally?
@thufie I'm curious that one of the first issues you went to was a lack of spam filtering. I've almost never had issues with spam on Fedi. Has it been different for you?
