@Pyretta Genital cutting is common in Islam, almost universal for males, and common for females in many places. I wonder how intersex children were treated.

@theonefreeman it seems like the genital mutilation is a more recent conservative swing (more recent in about the time of the crusades that is) but most of the time they were treated equitably albeit sorted into either male or female, with some rare cases qualifying as both. From what I read there, anyway.
