Question: Aaaand the final recommendations request is a probably more tricky one... :boost_requested:

I'm looking for "colony manager" style games (think along the lines of RimWorld) but that *aren't* about actual colonies, fighting natives, and so on, but rather about nurturing a healthy community. Something that *doesn't* encode expansionist values.

Bonus round: something that's collaborative/community-driven, so not just FOSS but also actually inclusive and welcoming towards new contributors

(I'm not holding out much hope for this actually existing)

@joepie91 Is Terra Nil this? We don't know much about it, but.

I /think/ the premise is "you start in a barren wasteland and have to actually build an ecosystem"

@IceWolf Perhaps doesn't match the description to the letter, but certainly does seem to match the vibe :)

@IceWolf @joepie91 Terra Nil is more akin to the “puzzle city builders” genre, where it’s about placing the right structures in the right locations

@joepie91 I'm looking for similar, with a preference toward post-apoc settings, for the hopepunk aspect.

@joepie91 the wandering village would match this to a certain degree.

@joepie91 Have you seen Lakeburg Legacies? It's more about match-making your citizens and putting them in the right job than building and expanding.
