viewing Current Development Practices from a individualistic PoV they first start their project for fun (maximizing the weirdness they can handle for their own motivations) and *then* get funded if it happens to, as a side-effect(?), get popular

@Kye@tech.lgbt @joepie91 i'd guess a bunch of trans people do rust because it's hard and being so undeniably externally queer induces a strong pressure to prove yourself to society. and rust is hard.

(and as an optional-ish bonus, the safety is something you usually want if you've been traumatized before. nice reassurance)
