Homestuck is a story about how a game developer brought about the end of the world in the process of trying to stop the end of the world. really, all the terrible things that happen are the fault of yet another developer who thought they could fix a problem nobody asked them to solve

I don't know if there's any significance to this, but the Red and Blue teams are divided into 6 each, and there are twelve total. I don't know how they'll be interacting in the future, but a fun thing is that there are six types of chess pieces - King, Queen, Bishop, Knight, Rook, and Pawn. I don't know if they'll necessarily fill these archetypes in each team and create yet another microcosm of the Forces of Light vs the Forces of Darkness that underlies (and is explicitly part of) a lot of the plot so far, but it'd be interesting if that happened. I also think that if this is the case, there's a thirteenth troll that'll show up at some point to disrupt whatever dynamic they have. I think it's more likely that they'd mirror a suit of cards though, which is thirteen in number, and with the disruptive force mirroring the Ace (Jack Noir earlier) that trumps the face cards in a number of different games.
