yeah so you can just run neofetch on a supercomputer they let you do that

@mossfet Oh yeah just a login node (looked up the specs). I wonder if you could batch execute it on a compute node and how different the results would be.

I also wonder how modifying the environment will change the distro output. Does it rely on elements of userspace that you can change as environment modules?

you've done your homework! you have a background in hpc?

there are environment modules using lmod

i batch executed it using sbatch, but the specs didn't seem different? maybe i was doing something wrong and it was run on the login node, but ???

it's using SLURM btw

@thufie OK, i cant remember if i did it originally last time but i have run it on a compute node now

it looks very similar - also 144 cores but with a marginally different clock speed, and ten days more uptime, so it's definitely a different computer through srun
