Yesterday I was singing praises about machine translation finally handling Hebrew somewhat less terribly. Seems that was premature since I tried again today and half of the output was transliterated English gibberish. And also it mixed up the semantics of the month of May with the English word "may" (like, possible to occur).
So it has (very importantly!) managed to distinguish between הכיר and יודע , but still isn't really useful beyond extremely basic phrases without any possible homonyms.
Anyways tech CEOs want you to just take AI translation at face value with 100% seriousness lmao.
@thufie deserved tbh
Even for English and German (which should be a very well tested case given its a major European language and *English*) it sometimes has subtle mistakes with.
Not nearly as comedic as that in my experience though. Much more minor, probably as a result of more testing.
