Companies looking to replacing employees with agentic AI slop, just outright refusing to hire, are more likely to seek even less scrupulous methods of getting their work done when the techno-futurist promise falls flat. Like kids being made to scab in long haul trucking that couldn't be automated, something sleazier will come along. Will mean different things for different jobs, but we need some opposition ready for that eventuality.
