using plasma 6 (which is a throwback for me, I haven’t touched anything KDE since I was like 10) while I get myself situated and then I might try playing w hyprland or sway or somethin tiley

got my 3ds build environment working in a win10 LTSC vm. VirtualBox was ezpz to add to the system and get going. Thanks Nix!!!
Here’s where I eventually ended up. Really happy with this desktop tbh, it blends most of the usability features I appreciate from windows, macOS, and i3 with only a few details left wanting
I was expecting to eventually want to switch to a purpose built tiling wm, and at some point maybe I will, but plasma’s tiling is barely on the correct side of good enough for me that I’m not feeling motivated to swap it out anytime soon

@deersyrup karousel allegedly works with kde plasma as a tiling window plugin ala niri. But I couldn't get it to work right.
@thufie holy shit this works great actually….it sort of adds another “layer” of tiling manager but it really completes the stack. Thank you so much for the rec !!
