thinking out loud about how authoritarians stylize themselves
Economic Liberals (capital L) are the kind of authoritarians who are always rebranding, changing their name, etc. Whereas authoritarian communists will be reusing the same old symbols for the same old historical roleplay until the end of time. If you have to keep carrying around the same big man heads on portraits everywhere you have to keep the iconography consistent to keep their... uh... appeal? Or.. is Lenin a brand? Is he like the Orville Redenbacher of Communism?
