Browser game on topic of anxiety
I love Nicky Case's work -- a Patreon-funded independent developer who keeps publishing smart, interesting explorations, often on social topics. Yesterday I tried "Adventures With Anxiety", which is a 30-min free visual novel-ish game that plays in your browser:
You play the anxiety, as you and your host try to find ways to live with each other. Recommended whether you experience anxiety or not (I personally very rarely do, fortunately).
and the longer story is that the problem I'm having (which is that the device behaves as if there's no battery at all) still happens: it just crashes completely when i unplug the USB cable. i conclude it is the power controller that is faulty, and i have 0 clue on how to fix that
Here's something cool about Mandarin Chinese pronouns.

For any trans people who need to hear this:
Your body is beautiful. You're worthy of being desired, if that's something you want.
Whether you choose to transition (and in whatever direction you want), and wherever you are in that process -- you're seen, you are believed, and I'm proud to be your sibling.
When you look in the mirror, you deserve to hear, "Hey, Beautiful." If you don't hear it in your voice, hear it in mine.
Your strength is incredible. You come from a long tradition of transgender people, stretching back to the earliest days of humanity.
Let the haters shout into the void. You don't need to. The Void already loves you. ✨

Food, New Restaurant
Due to some excellent decisions by Past Wally, we attended the soft open of Owamni, a new restaurant by Indigenous chefs that incorporates pre-european preparations of local ingredients into a fine dining context. They're bringing an experience the local dining scene lacks and the food is *delicious*, I think it's gonna be a big hit
Minneapolis mastodon!
The Cyberia Computer Club will have a booth at pride this Saturday and Sunday in Loring park! Come visit!! Booth #R69, boosts welcome!
We will have a solar powered server, ascii art flyers, whatever project I bring (tarot reading generator?), and many cool friends! We are a local computer club/hacker collective and we figured it was time to do a little outreach. There's also a very exciting collage project that I'll post about later.~
We would LOVE to meet you! Yes you! Come by and say hi in person, and you're welcome to stop by our matrix, too.
After a really stress-filled day yesterday, I'm really looking forward to spending time with online friends in #CircusInPlace tonight.
Thank you all in advance for coming to visit the clowns as we practice throwing ourselves at the floor, acrobatically speaking.
See you starting at 8pm UTC-5:

Hey fedi friends! I've been loving Momodou @Saikoubarry 's toots on here about his trees and life in his village, but recently his area was hit by a flood like they'd never seen before. It literally carried off the roof of his house! https://mastodon.xyz/@Saikoubarry/106548104657732650 (Image description: A round one-storey house with the roof torn off, the support struts left bare, with supplies and items surrounding it.)
Georg @gcrkrause has been raising money to help Momodou's family repair the flood damage, and plans to send the funds in a couple of days (and will provide the receipt, of course). If you'd also like to chip in to help Momodou out please contact Georg for his PayPal! It was my birthday last month so also consider it a birthday gift to me?
