fun fact: linux mint is by default configured to not ever use snap and you have to remove a flag file to allow its installation

@lyncia I think this is a solved problem for me at this point since I don't see myself ever switching away from NixOS
but yeah constantly distrohopping can be a pain. it's unusual that I have a protocol for it lol
@stellarskylark i tried nixos but compiling external software was a headache for me so I left
@lyncia fair, I haven't really encountered many cases where I wanted something that wasn't packaged but I am...reticent to actually learn how to package things
Nix the language is nowhere near as nice to use as Guix was. If only Guix actually worked... (/hj)
